DAKF Thiruvananthapuram District Committee is planned to conduct a two-day workshop on Block Chain called “Block Chain Primer” exclusively for Computer Science College students on 10th and 11th of August 2018 ( Friday & Saturday) at IIITMK Campus in association with Kerala Block Chain Academy and Welfare Organisation of IT Employees Prathidhwani’s Technical Forum, Technopark.
Blockchain is the technology that underpins the digital urrencyBitcoin – but it has far wider applications and is being commercialisedin a growing number of areas. It has generated muchinterest in technology circles and beyond, because of the new possibilities it opens up in financial services, the public sector and other areas. Compared with traditional database technologies and centralised systems, blockchain implementations can be relatively cheap and require considerably less IT investment to maintain The new technology is expected to bring massive benefits to consumers, to current banking system and to the whole society in general.
Last Date of Registration is 5th August 2018 and there will be a Registration Fee of Rs.350/- per student. The workshop will be handled by experts from abroad & India and will be managed by Block Chain Academy.

Department of Computer Application, CUSAT and Democratic Alliance for Knowledge Freedom jointly organising a three-day workshop on Machine Learning. The workshop will be lead by Free Software Activists, Research scholars from IITs and Data Scientists from Industry. The workshop will cover Basics, Machine learning using python and advanced topics like Deep Learning.
